Auction Results: Photography, December 13, 2016 @Artcurial

After getting off to a slow start, where only 7 of the first 31 lots found buyers, the recent Photography sale at Artcurial in Paris picked up some steam. With eight positive surprises, including Gered Mankowitz’ portrait of Jimi Hendrix which jumped to almost 5X its pre-sale high estimate, the Total Sale Proceeds recovered to the low end of the aggregate pre-sale range.
