On Strike

When our artists (and the galleries, museums, and other institutions that celebrate their work) go on strike in defense of their creative and personal freedoms, we firmly believe that the collectors, writers, and critics who draw energy from their passions should do so as well. We at Collector Daily take seriously our efforts to thoughtfully consider the rich diversity to be found in photography of all kinds, and consciously seek to use our own voices to affirm the inclusive, multi-cultural values that are found in those expressions. But today we stand in deliberate silence, in unequivocal support of those who take the personal and artistic risks that give our world context, and in unflinching defiance of those who threaten to unravel the very framework of society that makes art possible.
