Auction Results: Post-War and Contemporary Art Evening and Day Auctions, October 18 and 19, 2013 @Christie’s King Street

Led by a strong performance at the top end of the range (with 22 of the 24 High lots finding buyers), the photography in Christie’s Post-War and Contemporary Art sales in London last week brought in the most photo revenue among the three major houses. With a Thomas Struth church scene tallying nearly £700000, the overall Buy-In rate for photography was less than 15% and the Total Sale Proceeds for photography topped the pre-sale estimate range with room to spare.
