Auction Results: New Now: Modern & Contemporary Art, February 28, 2025 @Phillips

There were only a handful of photography lots included in the New Now sale at Phillips in New York last week, and their results were largely uneventful. The top photo lot Hiroshi Sugimoto seascape sold within its estimate range, and there were no positive surprises to pump up the numbers. With an overall Buy-In rate for photography under 17%, the Total Sale Proceeds for photography (of roughly $420K) tallied up in the middle of the aggregate pre-sale estimate range.

100.00% of the lots that sold had proceeds in or above the estimate range and there were no positive photographic surprises in the sale (defined as having proceeds of at least double the high estimate).
